The object of the investigation: Hypodermosis of cattle and development of effective methods of control against it, ectocid.The aim of the investigation: To study the spreading of hypodermosis of cattle in the forest-steppe area of Ukraine under the modern conditions of cattle-breading conduction and to suggest Ukrainian high-effective insecticides for practical veterinary medicine and to determine optimal dozes for its using taking into account the particularities of biology of subcutaneous gad-flies.The methods of investigation: ecological faunistic, entomological, toxicological and statistic methods.The Devices: microscope, thermdutic box, microdozator.The Theoretical results: It was studied the spreading, species composition and particularities of biology of subcutaneous gad-flies development, and dynamics of clinical display of hypodermosis.It was proved the influence animal age on duration of gad-flies development. The main economical damage caused by hypodermosis of cattle at the period of maxi mal infection of animals was established.The Practical results: It was determined the efficiency of ectocid at hypodermosis. The optimal terms of conduction of prophylactic and curative measures taking into account the particularities of subcutaneous gad-flies development were established.The scientific novelty: The system of measures of control against hypodermosis was improved.The Introduction degree: The recommendations with regard to treatment and prophylaxis of hypodermosis of cattle; The temporary directions abeoutusing of ectocid against hypodermosis of cattle.The branch of application: veterinary medicine.
