The object of investigation: Sterility in women caused by CMVI. Methods of investigation: Clinical, laboratory and instrumental (USD, kymographical pertubation, laparoscopy, immunoenzyme analysis (evaluation of gonadotropic and ovarian hormones, non-specific immunological defence factors, determination of anti-CMV-antibodies classes IgM and IgG, method of PCR). Theoretical and practical results: Investigations resulted in the working out of algorithm of examination the sterile women caused by CMBI. Complex scheme of sterile couples treatment (registry number 54361A) was proposed, the necessity of uterine-tube and abdominal cavity content was grounded if CMV is present in sterility. Qualitative treatmeut criteria of women with CMVI were worked out, and optimal term of pregnancy revealing after therapy were determined. Novelty: Main pathogenetic factors resulting in sterility development in women with CMVI were revealed for the first time. The influence of CMV on level of non-specific immunological organism defence, endocrine ovarian function and pituitary body in infertile women was studied for the first time too. The change of folliculogenesis, anatomical state and functional activity of uterine tubes, laparoscopic picture of uterine tubes, peculiarities of uterus and ovary damage and pronouncing level of adhesive process in CMVI were investigated. Introduction: Recommendations on examination and treatment of women with CMVI have been introduced into practice of women consultative centres and gynecological departments in Zaporozhye region, Charkov Regional clinical Hospital.
