The objects of study are the process of forming the noble-intelligent families as the link of Ukrainian nation cultural-historical continuity and to study their role in Ukraine cultural-social life ХVІІІ-ХІХ cent. The target of work is to study Markovich-Markevich family as the integral socio-cultural system which subjects plaid the important role making nation-cultural value of Ukrainian nation. Methodic base of this thesis consists of interdisciplinary methods, common and special scientific methods and methods of family history. The interdisciplinary approach of the work is provide by use principles and methods of such sciences as history of the culture, history of the literature, genealogy, historical psychology, sociology, historiography, gender study. Common and special scientific methods are the synthesis and analyses methods, structure, historical-chronological, historical-comparative, personal, problem, historiography methods, the principles of classification and systematization, method of "dispersed historiography". Methods of family history are the reconstruction method and the social transmission method. The scientific novelty of the work is in application methods of "new family history" - sphere of history formed in western science in 1960-70 yrs. - to Ukraine history. The actuality of family history researches nowadays Ukrainian historiography is conditioned by Ukrainian history specific that consists in nation-state tradition discontinuity, when informal groups - societies, circles and noble houses undertook functions of the state. There was Markovich-Markevichs well-known by the activity of its representatives among noble-intelligentsia's "hearth families" of the national culture in Ukraine. The reconstruction of the Markovich-Markevich's family made in the course of the research. It was also discovered wais and methods of translation culture base of the dynasty. The forming of educational and professional traditions, social ambitions were shown. The research reviled the family socio-cultural activity (in sphere of public life, literature and art development, Ukrainian historical science). It was also discovered the socio-cultural meaning of attachment to family life in socio-culture and intellectual history of Ukraine and proposed differentiation of its types. It was cleared up that attachment to family life made for Ukrainian elite integration to the structures of general Russian one. Using ethno-geographical approach to the problem of the early history of Markovich family enriches data of kossak starshina structure and migration history of Ukraine ХVІ - ХVІІ cents. The genealogy of the Markovich family is supplemented on the level ХІІ generation of younger branch. The results of the thesis can be used in history of Ukraine, history of Ukrainian culture, historiography of Ukraine history, local history, ethnology etc. lecture courses. It is also significant for researches of the Ukrainian state history, Ukrainian elite history, the history of Ukrainian national Renaissance, the history of public and scientific ideas, the history of Ukrainian-Russian culture interrelation. The result of this work is basis for further researches in family history as newest branch of Ukrainian history science.
