Object of research: political process as functions depending on political leader motivation factor Objective: to elucidate the impact of human factor - political leader motivation - on political process during political transformation period. Methods: analysis, synthesis, modeling, historical method, comparative, motivational research. Novelty and results: The first endeavor to examine the political process as function influenced by the factor of power motivation by political leaders. It was proved that elements of personality motivation mechanism (requirements, personal dispositions, external stimulus, motive), their combination and interaction influence the choice of power obtaining methods by political figure (politician), as well as on power realization style. For the first time the motivation models of power process are described on theoretical level, the authors procedure of political leader motivation area research is proposed. The objective starting prerequisites of political transformation inUkraine and Byelorussia Republic, is being researched, their similarity is proved. The analysis of motives driving L. Kuchma and O. Lukoshenko to conquest and impeachment political power conducted for the first time, the influence of personal motives of Ukrainian and Byelorussia Republics presidents on politics course in discussed countries is demonstrated. Field of application: courses of social and political science, political prognostication.
