Essay

The mathematical model and software for stress conditions diagnostiics of weld-rings without preminary treatment of pipe edges was developed. This model is based on calculations of inverse problems of the shell theory with own deformations and uses experiment information, received from physical methods. By using finite element methods in the terms of three-dim ensional elasticity for a pipe with a haif-ellipsoid defect, a methods is developed that calculates stress concentration factors in the defected area such as corrosion pit-cavity. The influence of residual stress on the safery margin of the pipeline with corrossion damages is also evaluated.
