Essay

The dissertation work is devoted to: research of modes of operation of the gas transmission system in the conditions of limited transit; determination of optimal and reliable parameters of gas compressor units, compressor stations, main line sections of gas pipelines while reducing the volumes of gas transmission; research of technological processes related to conducting of repairs with a purpose of increasing the reliability of gas pipelines; development of alternative proposals for the certain parts utilizing of gas transmission system been idling due to its incomplete loading; development of techniques and technologies of gas pipelines modernization with the purpose of alternative products transportation and research of modes of such gas pipelines operation. In the dissertation there’re obtained results of analytical studies of the flow character and transient processes which are observed in complex gas transmission systems and caused by individual compressor stations shots down are presented. According to the results of numerical study the optimal number of operated compressor stations for transmission of certain volume of natural gas for symmetrical and asymmetrical schemes of their connection has been determined. There were resolved a complex technological problem of optimal planning of natural gas transportation process using reliability indicators of compressor stations as well as main line sections and also a range of scientific problems related to enlarging types of products which could be transported using natural gas pipelines.
