Grytsyk O. Development and increasing efficiency of pork production in Cherkasy region

Object of research - development of pork production on the farming enterprises and private farms of Cherkasy region. The purpose of research - the scientific basis of determining the directions of development and grounding the ways of increasing the economic efficiency of pork production. Method of research - statistical-economic, comparative analyses, monographic, empiric, statistic groupment, economic and math model. Theoretical and practical results - the variants of high level development of pig-breading under the conditions of applying the vertical integration were determined; the strategies of increasing the economic efficiency of the branch were grounded scientifically; the optimal development plans of pig-breading in Cherkasy region after the strategies of stabilization and development were done. Novelty inculcate - the system of index appreciation of the efficiency of pig-breading production was added by the integral index of economic efficiency of integral union activity; two strategies of pig-breading development were done: the first is built on the rational using the present resource potential and the getting size and the branches ratio; the second - investment, directed on the creation competitive meat subcomplex, on the level of highly developed countries, in connections with Ukraine's entrance to the WTO; the conception of complex development of pig-breeding in farm enterprises and private farms on the regional level; the economic and math model of the optimal development of pig-breading on the regional level was improved. Degree of introduction - in the practice activity LTD "Cherkasy meat company" on the pig farm complex "Marianivskyi" and JV "Uman meat factory".
