Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of problems of effective functioning of commercial banks under the conditions of market transformation of Ukraine's economy. The problems of economic nature, essence, components of the financial mechanism of activity of commercial banks, peculiarities of construction of the financial mechanism under the conditions of bank system development are analyzed. On the basis of analytical evaluation of commercial banks' effectiveness, financial parameters in the system of the financial mechanism, displaying effective functioning of commercial banks are defined. Necessity and ways of improving the methods of influence of the financial mechanism on raising the efficiency of bank activity is proved. Organizational - legal bases of the financial mechanism of bank activity are determined. The effective financial mechanism, which is offered to be realized through the use of the model of optimization of assets and liabilities of commercial bank and model of optimization of investment and credit politics, is simulated.
