Tretyakova A. Clinical-ENMG diagnosis and control facial nerve injuries treatment

The disertation is dedicated to the problem of improvement of diagnosis and treatment of fasialnerve neuropathy.Clinical-ENMG peculiarities of facial nerve neuropathies of different genesis and optimized methodological approaches to the diagnosis in the course of facial nerve neuropartyhave been established on the basis of the analysis of the results of clinical electromyographic examination. Diagnostic informative velue of electromyographic indices at different stages of treatment has also been estimated. A new method of complex clinical-ENMG evalution of functional condition of the fasial nerve-mimic muscles system has been elaborated. The importance of the research of the potential of mimic muscles functions and blink reflex for the estimation of the facial nerve injury rate has been proved. Clinical-ENMG criteria for the substantiation of indications for surgical treatment of fasial nerve neuropathy and the criteria for evaluation of the treatment effectiveness have been elaborated. The basic results of this thesis have found application in neurological and neurosurgery practice.
