Sinovets P. Nuclear Deterrence in the Policies of the USA and Russia in the Post-Bipolar Period.

The dissertation regards the evolution of the nuclear deterrence during the first decade after the Сold War, which is based on studying of the American and Russian political science works along with the military-strategic documents of both countries. The thesis analyses the US and Russia's modern defense strategies in connection with the main points of this concept, as global strategic stability phenomena. It also estimates perspectives of their future behavior in the sphere of nuclear weapons, which can become the result of the classical Cold War theory adaptation to the new structure of international relations. The great attention is paid to the research of such regimes as nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation and also to the practical examples, connected with the development of the modern nuclear world tendencies
