Thesis is devoted to the analysis of Mykola Chernyavsky's prose heritage. He's been repressed and thus insufficiently studied outstanding Ukrainian writer of the beginning of the XXth century. This work is the first one to investigate interrelations between the innovative quest and the artistic trends of the writer's time.
