3. The dissertation is devoted to the research of lexicophraseological means of imagery in Ukrainian folk ballads. In view of the specific nature of the ballad plot the work analyses conceptual discourse characteristics on the scale of cultural oppositions of the good and bad, the individual and his family, life and death etc, identifies characteristic linguistic means (within lexicophraseological fields) that express ethnolinguistic nature of the above stated cultural concepts, considers stylistic means on the background of spatial-temporal parameters of the ballad narrative, shows potential style opportunities of not only objects, phenomena, actions but also numerous realities of onym character that enables to specify the ethnocultural characteristics of the ballad genre.
