Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the research of accession of Ukraine to the OSCE and basic directions of its activity in this organization in 90-s years of XX century. Modern scientific concepts of the international relations system are theoretically generalized. Place of Organization for Security and Cooperation in this system is determined. The role of Ukraine in the OSCE structure and its interests in the Organization are defined. Participation of Ukraine in the development of theoretical and organizational grounds of the OSCE activity is revealed. Initiatives of Ukraine and their implementation as to the institutionalization, reforming and strengthening of legal status of the Organization, working out common and comprehensive security model for XXI century, development of concept of the OSCE peace keeping activity are considered. The work of Ukrainian state organs, conducted together with the High Commissioner on National Minorities and the other OSCE structures, in the sphere of national minorities rights protection, democracy and human rights development is analyzed. The peace keeping activity of Ukraine within the OSCE framework is shown. The experience of activity of the OSCE Mission in Ukraine and contributing by the State into it in the questions of the resolution of the conflicts between the central power of Ukraine and its Crimean Autonomy, resolution of some political and legal as well as social and economic problems in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Ukraine in general is generalized. Special features of the activity of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine as form of continuation of presence of the Organization in the country are revealed. The ways to improve the activity of Ukraine in the OSCE as well as to improve the work of the Organization itself are suggested.
