Essay

Object: lines - sterile analogues, restores of pollen fertility and sunflower hybrids. Aim: to assess selective and genetical value of parental lines for selection on resistance to high temperatures and drought. Methods: laboratory, filds, mathematical-statistica. Novelty: there has been estimated the degree of resistance to drought of lines and hybrids developed the laboratory method for thermodiagnostics and the prognosis on and drought resistance in the field condition, Results: there have been distinguished high-thermo- and drought-resistant lines as the original material for heterosis selection in sunflower. Application stage: 12 lines restorers of pollen fertility with heigh thermo- and drought-resistance have been introduced into breeding practice in 2 scientific institutions. Application area: agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.
