Kharchyshyna O. The Transformation of the Cattle Branch Economics to Market Conditions

Object of research: process of production and marketing of cattle products at Zhytomyr region enterprises under the transition to market relations. The purpose of research: system study of modern trends in transformation processes in the Zhytomyr region cattle branch and the development of practical recommendations concerning the correction of the above processes. Methods: the dialectical method of cognition, abstract and logical, monographic, statistical and economical, calculation and constructive, sociological methods.Theoretical and practical results: theoretical results contribute to the enrichment and deepening of scientific approaches to studying the peculiarities of the cattle branch under the transition to market relations. Practical importance of the results obtained lies in the fact that proposals made can be used in the market transformation the cattle branch on the regional level. Research novelty: the peculiarities of the cattle branch functioning under the transition to market relationshave been systematized and defined more precisely. The thesis has made an assessment of the efficiency of the government control over Ukrainian's cattle branch. A complex analysis of transformation process in the Zhitomir region cattle branch has been made. Certain propositions concerning the elimination of drawbacks in transformation process have been made. The elastic interrelation between the population income and the volume of animal products consumed have been revealed. The author has substantiated a primary importance of consumers' purchasing power in forming production volume. It is for the first time that the economic efficiency of producing cattle products in Zhytomyr region's small private farms in the transition period have been showed. The measurements aimed at increasing economic efficiency of producing cattle products as well as approximate prices for the above types of production in Zhytomyr region have been suggested. The author has summarized a positive experience and has made proposals as to the further development of infrastructure of the cattle branch in the region through the system of stock exchange and agricultural trade houses. Degree of introduction: results of the research are used by the Central Department of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, by Zhytomyr agricultural and industrial stock exchange and "Trokovychy LTD". Efficiency: the results of the research contribute to the formation of market relations in the cattle husbandry and improves the financial results of agricultural producers.
