Syroid D. The life of St. Theodosiy Pechers'kyy (Theodosiy of the Caves) by the venerable Nestor and the genre tradition.

The thesis is devoted to the studying of the life of St. Theodosiy of the Caves by the venerable Nestor as a pattern of the life of a venerable comparing to the interpreted lives. The rhetorical aspects, which include both external and internal forms. In the frames of the external form the interaction of the antic and Byzantium rhetorical bases is studied. The attempt to find the internal form of the life at the compulsory level of a text was made. The relations between the external and internal forms on the one side and spacious and time structures on the other were analysed, each of them having their semantically important emphasises.
