Essay

The dissertation deals with theoretical generelization and a new solution to the scientific problem which lies in the development of a complex method of treating patients with generalized plaque-type psoriasis utelizing methotrexate, flavonoid proteflazidum, UV-phototherapy with an external photosensitizer - Halobacterium halobium suspension is aimed at diminishing the duration and frequency of relapses taking into consideration the revealed cytogenetic, immunologic, biochemical and morphologic impairments and their correction. For the first time the level of instability of T-lymphocites genetics and of the dynamics of immunocytogenetic indices was studied. It was shown that patients developed secondary T-cellular immunodeficiency. For the first time it was determined that in blood and skin the activity decrease in timidinphosphorilase - a ferment of catabolism of thymidine, i.e. a precursor of DNA - can serve as a marker of intensity of epidermocyte proliferation. An increase in adenozindezaminase activity is indicative of a decrease in the cellular immunity state. The developed complex method of treating people with psoriasis resolves the revealed immunologic, cytogenetic and biochemical impairments and provides for a positive clinical effect for 92,2% of patients as compared with 62,2% in traditional therapy. The application of the given method lessens the duration of clinical manifestations by 8,6 days and the frequency of the nearest and remote relapses by 22,9 and 35,9% respectively.
