The dissertation deals with the determination of medicolegal criteria of the mechanisms of the origin for fractures of the short tubular bones of the hand. It has been established that there exists a dependence between the conditions of the origin of fractures of the hand bones and their localization, morphology and character. The influence of the anatomo-structural specific features of the structure on the regularities of the origin of fractures of separate portions of the hand bones has been noted.
