This investigation is about the process of formation and functioning of the system of self-government local authorities at the territory of Western Ukraine (East Galichina and Western Wolyn) in the form part of Poland in 1918-1939. This territory after the I World War gradually became a constituent part of Poland. The Constitution of Poland of 1921 has fixed democratic character of self-government local authorities and the Constitution of 1935 narrowed it.
