Old Ukrainian biological and medical lexis under the genetic, semantic and structural aspects. Investigation of the etymology and wide functioning of the botanical, zoological and medical titles in medical reference books of the XVI—XVIII-th centuries. For the first time the genesis of Old Ukrainian biological and medical lexis is studied in complex by the uniting the linguistic analysis of the lexical units and their functional medical load.
