Object of the study is processes, characterizing activity of metallurgical plants of Ukraine. Objective of study development of theoretical positions, methodical and practical recommendations on organizations of expenses management on enterprises of metallurgical branch. Methods of research: system approach, analysis and syntheses, grouping and generalizations, regression and correlation. Theoretical and practical results: improvement of methods of prime cost management and shaping the level of expenseses on metal products, realization which will provide constant management account and checking for main criteria of expenseses of modern metallurgical enterprise. Novelty is improvement of methods of prime cost management and shaping the level of expenseses on metal products of subjects of black metallurgy.
