Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the studying of the creation of environment image in the system of reoresentations among teenagers. It is shown that the environment image is one of the key constituents of the environmental consciousness. The advisability to study environment image among teenagers has been proved as well as its semantic structure has been determined. The psychosemantic space of environment image in the consciousness of teenagers is constructed and some features are revealed. The specificity of the relation to an "animate nature" as the component of environment image has been investigated. The independence of the projection of environment image on a specific plane (the sense of ownership) from gender and age characteristics of teenagers has been proved. It has been revealed the direct dependence between destructive behavior toward environmental objects and attitude to them as to nobody's. The gender and age specificity of the other components of environment image among the schoolchildren12-16 years of age has been researched.
