Shatillo A. Nonmedicamental methods in complex treatment in epileptic patients

Cliniconeurologic, electroencephalographic and some immunologic changes were studied in course of different drag resistant epileptic syndromes complex therapy by the help of tissue therapy (TT) and ketogenic diet (KD). There were shown that TT is well tolerated, do not provoke complications and serious side effects. Analysis of obtained data show that effects of TT and KD at the course of epilepsy are positive. EEG-data analysis show a stage mode reaction at tissue therapy - there were some EEG desinchronisation and light decreasing of cerebral convulsive barier, at acute period (3-8 days), signs of EEG parametrs normalisation and increasing of convulsive barier to higher level then befor treatment at the second stage (1-12 monthes). KD, in contrast, induced a slow-wave activity which supress epileptic patterns. Changes of immunologic state of epileptic patients in the course of tissue therapy demonstrated to have immunomodulating effects of ENT and signs of haematoencephalic barrier functioning normalization. The KD influence at immune system was lightly suppressive and caused autoimmune processes decreasing.
