Object: transformation processes in gardening branch during reforming attitudes of property and forms of managing. The purpose: generalization and a deepening of the economic fundamentals of the mechanism of functioning, further development and increasing of gardening efficiency. Methods: statistical groupings, the correlative-regressive analysis, calculative - constructive, simplex, graphic, economic-mathematical with the use of applied programs. Results: offers on increase of the efficiency of the economic mechanism of functioning and development of industrial gardening under the conditions of market economy formation are developed. Novelty: positions concerning essence of an economic mechanism are added, principles of its functioning in gardening are specified; effective sources and ways of the efficiency increasing of the branch are allocated; methodical approaches of the definition of microzones of the industrial production of fruits and berries in the region and in the country are developed; Cyclic law of productivity fruits cultures is established, parameters of cycles, quantitative dependence of productivity on displays of climatic factors are determined; parameters of sort-variety structure of plantings, branch structure of gardening facilities, etc. are proved.
