Mousavi S. Formation and functioning of the Iranian contemporary family as a social institution.

Dissertation is devoted to consider the process of formation, development and functioning of Iranian contemporary family as a social institution. The socio-cultural circumstances, in which the institution of family appeared in Iran are studied. The mechanism of its development during the long period of time is analyzed, and the impacts of social macrolevel changes on this process are determined. A significant part of dissertation is dedicated to study оf main structural aspects of Iranian contemporary family and society that influence the character of family as a social institution. At the same time, much attention is paid to the social relations and interactions between family and the other social institutions of Iran.
