Nemchenko I. Short stories of M. Khvyljovyi in the context of Ukrainian prose of the beginning of XXth century

Short stories of M. Khvyljovyi. The aim is to define characteristic features of M. Khvyljovyi's short stories. The methods are historical-genetic, typological, comparativem esthetic. The classification of the types of personages in M. Khvyljovyi's short stories was suggested for the first time. The cirle of writers close to M. Khvyljovyi was defined; the personages' classification in M. Khvyljovyi's short stories was worked out. The scientific propositions of the thesis give the possibility to deepen and generalize scientific knowledge about the literary process of 20ies - 30ies. The results of the work can be employed for the working out of the academic courses in theory and history of Ukrainian literature, while teaching a course of Ukrainian literature of the twentieth centry.
