Об"єкт дослідження - the problems of organization and tactics of investigation actoins used in detecting crimes, committed by convicts. Методи дослідження та апаратура - historical, system analysis, formal-logical, statistical, questionnairing. Теоретичні результати і новизна - the concept of the criminalistic tactics and its means is improved on the basis of the analysis of modem scientific concepts, of its development; the correlation of operative-search and criminal-procedural activities is studied, and their clear delimitation is a condition of the further development of problems of Operative-Search Activity as an independent kind of legal activity. Практичні результати - peculiarities of the organization and tactics of investigation actions and operative-search measures in detecting crimes are corrected; according to the new Criminal-Executive Code the classification of convicts is proposed, and this classification will help to study convicts' psychology and to use the results in the organisationand tacticts of investigation actions used in detecting crimes; some proposals are moved to improve preliminary investigation in establishments of criminal-executive system in view of the specificity of their activity and current Criminal, criminal-procedural and criminal-executive code of Ukraine. Предмет і ступінь впровадження - used for giving the course of "Criminalistics", "Technique of investigation of seharate kinds of crimes". Ефективність впровадження - utilization in education systematic elaboration. Сфера використання - research and practical activity, studing process.
