Sheptura O. Increase of effectiveness of consignment freights automotive transportation under variable demands

This thesis demonstrate that the major factors influencing on consignment freights transportation cost, include haul distance, distance between delivery stations, carrying capacity, assurance factor by carrying capacity, average delivery volume, coefficient of variation of demands. Developed analytical models of consignment freights transportation and executed experiments provide with new knowledge about influence of truck and demands parameters on consignment freights transportation cost; definite optimal values of carrying capacity and assurance factor by carrying capacity that provide for minimization of consignment freights transportation cost. With the technique elaborated for choice of optimal carrying capacity could to reduce of consignment freights transportation cost with taking into account losses resulting from untimely or incomplete carrying-out of demands.
