In the thesis, the theoretical foundations of the formation of passenger flows in the route system of urban passenger transportation have been developed, which make it possible to determine the transportation process rational parameters from the characteristics of the passenger flow and the patterns of its formation. A method has been proposed for organizing urban passenger traffic on the routes of urban passenger transportation under the condition of constant parameters of passenger flow to provide the transport agency's and passengers' total costs minimization. Its application makes it possible to make decisions on improving the level of transport services for passengers and the efficiency of using vehicles taking into account the transport fatigue of passengers and the characteristics of the spatial irregularity of passenger flows on the route. A model for the formation of passenger flows in the route system of urban passenger transport has been developed, which takes into account the redistribution of passenger trips according to alternative options for travel routes from the passengers' "fail-to-board" probability at route stops and the passengers' transportation fatigue level of while traveling in a certain way. The use of the proposed model allows assessing the change in demand for transport services depending on the passengers' travel conditions. A method for mass transit organizing on the routes of urban passenger transportation under condition of variable of passenger flow parameters has been presented, which provides the use the transport agency's profit as a criterion to optimize while keeping an acceptable level of passenger service. It takes into account the relationship between the of the transportation parameters and the transportation demand value on the route.
