Object of research: process of processing in drum-and-roll the unit (DRU) of a thick layer of the humidified metallurgical slag repeated rolling under shaky with the subsequent loosening a knife. The purpose of researches: the Presence of laws of interaction of working bodies drum-and-roll the unit with a thick layer of the humidified metallurgical slag, a substantiation on this basis of use of the unit as activator and development of a technique of his calculation. Methods of research: analytical, experimental both laboratory. Theoretical and practical results: a design procedure drum-and-roll units, a design protected by patents DRU and recommendations to destination rational parameters and modes at use DRU for activation of metallurgical slags. Novelty: The mechanism of interaction of working bodies DRU with a layer of the loosened material of the maximal thickness is opened at definition of conditions of condensing ability is shaky in interaction with slag mixes which give in to activation; the expediency of use DRU for activation of the humidified metallurgical slags is proved. Level of introduction: the engineering specifications of industrial sample DRU that there is in a stage of manufacturing at a machine-building factory "Red October " is developed. Field of using: activation of the humidified metallurgical slags in structure of complexes on manufacture a demon of a cement brick.
