Essay

Thesis deals with problem of classical philology students' forming of grammatical competence using mutually comparative method. The work theoretically describes development and contemporary state of methodology for teaching of the Latin and Ancient Greek languages and definition of place of comparisons in theory and practice of teaching general language methodology and methodology of classical languages in particular. The main point of mutually comparative method is determined; its linguistic and psychological basis, usage fields and ways of introduction are formulated.The research work has proved the raised hypothesis on influence of mutually comparative method on formation of classic philology students' grammatical competence. It has made formulation of methodological recommedations possible.
