This degree paper deals with theoretic, methodologic and organization problems solution of development strategy elaboration for enterprises of restaurant economy at higher school institutions. In the paper theoretic concept and the importance of development strategy is substantiated, social and economic as well as normative and legislative principles are investigated for restaurant economy enterprises functioning at higher school institutions, the factor of influence is examined of demand formation upon products and services by enterprises dealing with student's contingent, the evaluation is given of sub-systems functioning efficiency and resource potential utilization of restaurant economy enterprises at higher school institutions, recommendations are elaborated on monitoring execution as for students provision with public catering services at the places of their study, the model is proposed to improve organization and servicing subsystems. The new approach is expressed related to a market share determination for restaurant economy enterprises at higher school institutions. The approaches are substantiated to priority strategic alternatives generation based upon enterprises positioning depending on: share of market and growing of market, changes of commodity circulation and costs in dynamics, differentia-tion of products and efficiency of activity. The model is proposed of managing sub-system restructuring of enterprises considering the branch specifics.
