Lisnyak N. Mikrotoponymy of Western Podillya.

Object: microtoponymy of Western Podillya. Aim: to perform the linguistic analysis of microtoponyms of Western Podillya. Methods: synchronous-descriptive, linguistic observation, statistic, comparative-contrastive. Results: for the first time it has been carried out the complex study of non-inves-tigated microtoponomy of the old time region of Ukraine with the dense network of villages; more than 5000 microtoponyms have been analysed and put into scientific circulation; in the process of analysis of the collected data the semantics of the formative stems has been figured out and the structural models of Western Podillya have been determined; it has been compiled the dictionary of microtoponyms that reveals pretoponymic semantics of each proper name.
