This thesis considers formation and development of interest to musical performance at senior pupils on the basis personal-oriented method in teaching. We analyzed theoretical and historical scientific literature relating to under consideration problem; studied specific character of musical performance interest at senior pupils taking into age consideration. Also it was defined musical performance character and its place in teenage requirements structure; described content and structure components of musical performance interest. It was founded criteria and levels of musical performance interest formation from the position of structural components of this interest (emotional and volitional). Personal-oriented method was developed and inculcated into musical teaching and educational process.
