Essay

The essence, nature, characteristic peculiarities, and social functions of the bayan art have been discovered in the dissertation, it's place in the music culture of Ukraine have been determined. The scientific literature on the designated problem has been analyzed, the major theoretical approaches onto the understanding the bayan art as the complex, multi-aspect and multi-function phenomenon have been regarded. The role and significance of the bayan art within the social and cultural processes of the second half of the 20th century have been substantiated. The typology of infrastructures for the bayan art social and cultural functioning has been worked out. Within this typology the "cultural shape" of the instrument, it's technical characteristics, music repertoire, and principles of the communicative games with audience have been changed. The influence of the ideological, political, and economical factors onto the development of the bayan art in definite social and cultural situations has been analyzed.
