In the dissertation on the basis of the detailed analysis of periodicals and special references the ways of development of classical dance in Ukraine in 20-30th years of ХХth century are investigated. The traditions, tendency and law of figurative - semantic transformation of the traditional forms of both lexicon of classical dance and initial ballet performance during synthesis with the Ukrainian national and professional choreographic art are considered in close of connection with influence West-European and in particular of Russian classical choreographic schools. In the dissertation the development of professional choreographic education in Ukraine are considered. It is emphasized, that determining influence on his(its) development had, on the one hand, - Russian (Petersburg and Moscow) choreographic schools, with another - West-European, therefore there was a priority the classical dance, aesthetics of a classical choreography for choreographic culture of Ukraine of the designated period and firstof all in 20th years. The importance the basic concepts are specified, which have arisen during development of classical dancing art, in particular classical and characteristic dance, pantomime as compound classical ballet, the aspects of scientific searches of theatre scientists, first of all of ballet scientists and choreographs are defined which studied a history of European, in particular of Russian ballet theatre, engineering, structural forms of classical dance, and also the printed and archival materials devoted to illumination of historical stages and ways of development of classical dance in a context of the formation of world music-theatrical art and its compound - the scenic choreography - were investigated. Besides the methodical works of the teachers - choreographs are analyzed which developed principles and methods of teaching of classical dance and separate theoretical generalizations concerning its performance. The reasons are analyzed and factors of formation of the Ukrainian national balletschool, in particular, special attention is given to a role of characteristic dance, which traditionally was one of the major elements of the Ukrainian folk-scenic choreography. The characteristic of figurative - structural and lexical features of traditional national ballet are marked, the process of transformation of traditional lexicon of classical dance in the specified researched period is considered. It is emphasized, that the Ukrainian ballet in the process of its formation carried out an especially active role in updating scenic art, as, on the one hand, aspired to keep yet not quite acquired classical principles, with another - broke off with an academic aesthetics, preferring modern to trends. At the same time it is emphasized, that in the specified period the searches of realistic ways of development of ballet art, orientation to achievement psychological "of theatre of the actor" have caused orientation to a scenic embodiment of truthful vital images and conflicts, logic and motivated expansion of subject action, necessity of the balanced director's work for frameworks многоактной of the subject choreographic play, more precisely, its versions - choreographic drama.
