The object of the study – antinihilistic novels of N. S. Leskov “Nekuda” (“Nowhere”) and “Na nozhakh” (“At sword’s points”); aim of the study – to give objective characteristic of antinihilistic novels “Nekuda” (“Nowhere”) and “Na nozhakh” (At sword’s points”) on the basis of their all-ground analysis in the unity of content and form; methods – system analysis, genetic, comparatively-typological, descriptive and biographical; novelty – at first antinihilistic novels are considered not to be isolated, but in the context of the antinihilistic fiction of the second half of XIX century and works of the writer, as the result the evolution of antinihilistic topics is observed in Leskov’s artistic prose; field of usage - high school courses of Russian and world literature, special courses, special seminars, devoted to Leskov’s works
