Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of optional chemistry training in secondary educational establishments of Ukraine and formation of pupils' skills to use their knowledge in every day life. The aim, the main tasks, the didactical principals, the criteria of the selection of the content of the education material and the structure of optional course "Chemistry in Every Life" have been defined and theoretically substantiated. The pedagogical conditions which help to form the skills of the pupils to use the knowledge of chemical theory in every day life have been revealed on the basis of complex analysis. The model of control of the formation of pupils' skills of using the knowledge in every day life is worked out and its pedagogical effectiveness has been experimentally tested.
