Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the problems of improving the results of operation on large bowel. It was discovered that anemia had appeared as an independent significant factor for large bowel anastomoses leakage. The critical levels of hemoglobin were established in the process of the formation of large intestinal anastomoses and a system for prediction of their leakage was developed. The use of perftoran as medication for enhancing the healing of large bowel anastomoses in condition of anemic hypoxia and insufficient blood supply were substantiated. New surgical techniques for promoting the reliability of colorectal anastomoses following resection of the rectum have been proposed
