Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development low alloy graphitized steels with high parameters of physical, mechanical and service characteristics. The influence of a chemical compound and heat treatment processes on the properties determining reliability and durability of steel in static, cyclic and heat-cyclic loadings is studied. It is shown, that resistance to fracture at various kinds loadings is defined, mainly, by the shape parameter of graphite inclusions. By results of the investigations three grades of steels are developed and recommended for industrial introduction. Industrial approbation of one of the developed grade of steel 150CДЛ has shown economic and a technical feasibility of its application as a structural material of molds for casting copper and aluminium alloys.
