Yanishevskyy S. KVN as a sociocultural phenomenon: genesis, history of the development, the modern state

This thesis is a many-sided research of formation and development of original sociocultural phenomenon - KVN (Klub Veselikh I Naikmitlivishih). Historiography of KVN, main particularities of original sources for the history of KVN were analysed. Prerequisites of origin of KVN, trends and factors its evolution were investigated. Expansion KVN outside television, beginning and development of the massive movement of KVN-clubs, transformation KVN from a play into a kind of art were explored. The thesis also showed influence of the sociopolitical and sociocultural dynamics of Soviet and postSoviet societies to development of KVN, changes of public opinion concerning KVN. A division into periods of the history of KVN was presented. Special attention was paid to modern state of KVN-movement, development of KVN in Ukraine in postSoviet period, KVN beyond the bounds of ex-Soviet Union as well.
