Sheyko S. Spatio-temporal characteristics of the field scattered by turbulent medium, and their influence on parameters of radar wind profilers

The object of investigation consists of the decrease of quality of signal informative parameters estimation in radar wind profiler. The aim is to derive of decreasing coefficients of real quality of signal informative parameters estimation due to non-uniform scattered field. The methods used are theoretical analysis with the theory of Fourier-transformations in three-dimensional space, simulation, radar-sounding of atmosphere. The new-ness includes the numerical estimation of gain loss of the receiving antenna and the values of spectrum spreading in cases of wind shear and small-scale turbulent motions. Results allows to carry out more exact calculations of wind profilers performance characteristics, decrease of watt loss in wind pro-filers, decrease of accuracy of wind measurements.Implementation consists of using the results in a research work 0100U001345 of the University.
