Sen'kiv S. Distribution of Consonant Phonemes in the Ukrainian Language.

The dissertation presents the analysis of consonant phonemes combinability in the Ukrainian language. The reasons for appearance of new groups of consonants are determined, the inventory of consonant combinations which appear in various positions of the word at different time spaces, is established, the frequency of each consonant group is shown, the laws for combinability of consonant phonemes in Ukrainian are depicted and the factors are established which give certain restrictions to the combinability of certain consonant units, the peculiarities of realization of consonant structures in speech are presented. The distribution of consonant phonemes is analyzed by the method of ordered couples; the multitude of phonemes is depicted, which are able to stand after the concrete phoneme or before it.
