Besuglyi I. Development of the original material for breeding pea cultivars with determinant habit.

Object: cultivars and lines of pea with a determinant habitus. Aim: to establish the developmental peculiarities in the plas with a determinant habitus and to determine the prospects for ist use in breeding of more technological and productive cultivars. Methods: field, laboratory, mathematical statistics. Novelty: there have been determined the morphobiological special features of pea determinant forms and the peculiarities of inheritance, variation and the relationship of productive traits, there have been estimated some parameters for the elaboration of the optimal model of a determinant cultivar of peas. Results: there have been developed highly productive determinant lines, there has been selected a the new cultivar of peas. Application stage: 4 lines with a complex of the economic traits have been registreted at the National centre for plant genetic resourses of Ukraine, a pea cultivar “Blagolatnyi” is passing through the state variety trials. Application area: agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.
