Essay

This dissertation is devoted to investigation of calcium signalling of rat spinal cord dorsal horn neurons under physiological pH of extracellular medium and under its acid-base shifts. It was shown, kinetic of calcium signal a considerable degree depend on its extraction and spatial location mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum from each other and cytoplasm. Under alkalosis conditions complex changes of calcium signalling due to Ca2+ extrusion from mitochondria and calciun induced calcium release from endoplasmic reticulum are to be observed. Under acidosis conditions significant depression of voltage-operated calcium channels to be observed. Analysis of mitochondria influence on changes in kinetic of depolarizational transients after extracellular acidification shown are considerably increase in their activity which express in strengthening of Ca2+ capture from cytosol under depolarization and its raising back to the cytosol after end of depolarization. It has concluded, that interaction between mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum have a big importance for the intracellular calcium signalling under physiological pH of extracellular medium and under its acid-base shifts.
