Psychological competence of a teacher of the high pedagogical school is a factor of successful management in the educational process by students. The psychological-pedagogical analysis of functions of teacher psychological competence as a factor of successful management in the educational process in high pedagogical school is realized in the dissertation. The role and the place of psychological competence in a structure of psychological-pedagogical activity are highlighted. The specific character of its reflection in a content and a ways of management in the pedagogical process by teacher has shown. A system of the diagnostic procedure and methods of psychological competence development as a social-psychological training has elaborated. Dependence between a level of forming of psychological competence and style peculiarities of management in pedagogical activity is approved. Dependence between a level of forming of psychological competence and psychological climate of a student group is demonstrated too. The author argues that it is expedient to add the ideas about the specific character of functioning of psychological competence as the system-creating factor in the structure of pedagogical professional traits to existing models of management in mental development of personality.
