Subject: process of radioactive pollution distribution due to forest, peat and meadow fires.Aim: development of prognostication model of secondary radioactive pollution of territory. Methods and apparatus: experimental and theoretical researches were carried out with use of modern methods, measuring equipment and computer techniques.Theoretical and practical results: secondary radioactive pollution of territory due to artificially created fire on the site with radioactive-polluted vegetation were investigated, and prognostication model was proposed. Novelty: process of radionuclid migration was investigated during fires in forests polluted with radionuclids, and prognostication model of secondary radioactive pollution of territory was proposed. Methods for express-prognostication of secondary pollution with radionuclids of clean or relatively clean territories due to forest fire. Level of introduction: in-situ fire experiments on radioactive-polluted places were carried out. Prognostication modelof secondary radioactive pollution was proposed for introduction to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine. Scope of use: prognostication of radioactive pollution of territories and environmental management of regions adjacent to alienation zone of Chernobyl Atomic Power Station
