Essay

The features of spawning, development and growth of Azov-Black sea haarder were studied. For the first time the natural spawning of the haarder were faund in the Black Sea. Optimum reproduction conditions were determined. The different stages of the ontogeny from an embryo to an adult fish were characterized. Meristic and plastic charakteristics of the species in the Azov-Black Sea basin were investigated and their ontogenetic, sexual, and geographical variability were described. The morphological researches and the taxonomic analisys of pointed out that the correct Latin name of the mullet haarder is Lisa Haematochila (Temmink and Schlegel,1845).
