Regularities of influence of copper (II) and manganese (II) ions on cytochromeoxidase activity, glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid cycle metabolites content, free nicotinamide coenzymes ratio and adenine nucleotide, and also in adenylate energy charge in carp tissue have been established. Accumulation of copper and manganese ions by the carp has been studied. Cytochromeoxidase activity in fish liver is recommended as bioassay in evaluating the degree of contamination of the water environment by the ions of copper.
