The dissertation work concerns the problem of ecological safety increase in dealing with metallurgical waste through more effective control of industrial enterprises wastes. The technological processes parameters influencing both the quantity and the quality of the waste have been stated .Waste components influence on the health of the people has been defined. All the diseases brought about by various components of slag have been systematized. The theory of ecological risk control using bifurcation in the control pattern has been improved.. The mathematical model of waste formation processes has been put forward. Low waste main-tenance technology as well as a special device to repair steel outlets in open hearth furnaces has been offered. The meth-ods of ecological audit have been offered. The ecological safety before and after putting into practice of all offered measures have been evaluated.
